A

Authentication
The process of verifying the authenticity of a CloudCoin by checking its authenticity numbers (ANs) against the RAIDA network. Authentication proves that a CloudCoin is genuine and not counterfeit.
Authentication Number (AN)
A cryptographic number assigned to each CloudCoin that is stored on a RAIDA server. Every CloudCoin has 25 ANs, one for each RAIDA server in the network, used to verify the authenticity of the coin.
Authenticity
The property of a CloudCoin being verified as genuine by the RAIDA network. A CloudCoin is considered authentic if at least 13 of the 25 RAIDA servers (a majority) can verify its authenticity numbers.

B

Backup
The process of creating a copy of CloudCoins by exporting them from a wallet for safekeeping. Proper backup procedures are essential for securing CloudCoins against data loss.
Billpay
A service that allows users to pay bills and invoices using CloudCoins. Billpay services convert CloudCoins to traditional currencies or directly transfer them to merchants who accept CloudCoins.

C

CloudBank
A service that allows users and applications to store, send, and receive CloudCoins. CloudBanks provide APIs for developers to integrate CloudCoin functionality into their applications.
CloudCoin
A digital currency based on the RAIDA technology rather than blockchain. CloudCoins are authenticated rather than accounted for, providing faster transaction times, greater privacy, and higher energy efficiency.
CloudCoin Consortium
The organization that oversees the development and standardization of CloudCoin technology and protocols.
CloudCoin Format
The data structure that defines a CloudCoin, typically stored as a JSON file. The format includes fields for the network number, serial number, authentication numbers, and other metadata.
Counterfeit
A CloudCoin that fails authentication by the RAIDA network. A coin is considered counterfeit if less than 13 of the 25 RAIDA servers can verify its authentication numbers.

D

Detect
A RAIDA protocol command used to check the authenticity of a CloudCoin without changing its ownership. This allows verification without spending the coin.
Denominations
CloudCoins come in fixed denominations based on the serial number range: 1, 5, 25, 100, 250 units. Each denomination has its own serial number range.

E

Echo
A RAIDA protocol command used to test connectivity with the RAIDA servers. It is similar to a ping command in networking.

F

Fix
A RAIDA protocol command used to repair CloudCoins that have been damaged or corrupted. It uses data from functioning RAIDA servers to restore the authentication numbers on servers that cannot verify the coin.
Fracking
The process of using one RAIDA server to help authenticate a CloudCoin on another RAIDA server by providing the correct authentication number. This is used to fix damaged coins.

M

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
A security feature in CloudCoin wallets and CloudBanks that requires multiple forms of verification to access funds, enhancing security.

N

Network Number (NN)
A number that identifies which RAIDA network a CloudCoin belongs to. The main CloudCoin network is NN=1. Other networks can be used for testing or private deployments.

P

P2P Network
The peer-to-peer network that facilitates the exchange of CloudCoins between users without requiring a centralized intermediary.
POWN
The process of changing ownership of a CloudCoin. When a CloudCoin is "POWNed," its authentication numbers are updated on the RAIDA servers to reflect the new owner. POWN stands for "Proof of Ownership."

Q

Quantum Safe
A characteristic of CloudCoin's security model that makes it resistant to attacks from quantum computers, unlike many blockchain-based cryptocurrencies.

R

RAIDA (Redundant Array of Independent Detection Agents)
The underlying technology that powers CloudCoin. RAIDA is a network of 25 independent authentication servers distributed globally that collectively verify the authenticity of CloudCoins.
RAIDA Protocol
The set of commands and procedures used to communicate with the RAIDA network, including functions like detect, echo, pown, find, and fix.

S

Serial Number (SN)
A unique identifier assigned to each CloudCoin. The serial number, combined with the network number, uniquely identifies a CloudCoin within the RAIDA network.
Skywallet
A cloud-based wallet service for storing CloudCoins securely online, accessible through various client applications.
Stack
A collection of CloudCoins that are grouped together, typically in a wallet or during a transaction.

T

Ticket
A temporary credential issued by a RAIDA server that can be used for subsequent operations, reducing the need to transmit authentication numbers multiple times.
Transaction
The process of transferring ownership of CloudCoins from one entity to another. CloudCoin transactions are typically completed in less than 2 seconds.

W

Wallet
A software application or service that allows users to store, manage, and transfer CloudCoins. Wallets maintain the authentication numbers needed to prove ownership of the coins.
Witness
In the context of RAIDA recovery operations, a witness is a RAIDA server that provides confirmation of the authenticity of a CloudCoin to help repair it on other servers.

X

XRP Integration
A system that allows for exchange and interoperability between CloudCoin and XRP (Ripple) cryptocurrencies, enabling users to leverage both technology ecosystems.

Y

Yield
The potential return or income generated from CloudCoin-based financial services or investment products. Unlike some cryptocurrencies, CloudCoins themselves do not generate yield through staking or mining.

Z

Zero-Knowledge Proof
A cryptographic method that allows one party to prove to another that a statement is true without revealing any additional information. In CloudCoin, this concept relates to privacy features where transactions can be verified without revealing the full details.
