Returns protocol/software version metadata.
Purpose
version returns the responding RAIDA’s version string or version bytes. Use it to gate feature handling, confirm cluster rollout state, or record compatibility information during client diagnostics.
Request body (18 bytes)
Same shape as echo — encrypted challenge plus terminator. The version handler reads no body fields.
